Fortifying Resilience & Security
With growing antisemitism a major global threat to Jews, ensuring the strength and safety of Jewish communities worldwide is paramount.
Security Assistance Fund
Providing assistance with physical security to ensure the safety of Jewish communities is our Security Assistance Fund, which enables Jewish institutions to make upgrades via grants that invest in security improvements and training. This includes controlled entry systems, CCTV and video surveillance, intruder alarms, reinforced doors and windows, exterior lighting, x-ray equipment, gates, and more, helping keep synagogues, schools, community centers and Jewish organizations safe.
In early 2026, The Jewish Agency’s Security Assistance Fund received a $1.5 million grant from The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust to further safeguard Jewish communities worldwide at a time of surging antisemitism.
JReady
Meanwhile, JReady, The Jewish Agency’s platform for Jewish community preparedness and resilience, established in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, celebrated its fifth anniversary in 2025. Now a joint initiative with Israel’s Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, the need for training and support through JReady has only increased.

Our Bondi Beach Response
In December 2025, when a terror attack was carried out at a Chanukkah event at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, JReady’s ability to be there for Jewish communities in emergencies was never clearer. Less than 48 hours after the deadly shooting, JReady deployed a delegation of Israeli experts in trauma response, community recovery and long-term resilience development to support the local Australian community. At the same time, JReady also activated hotlines together with NATAL—The Israel Trauma and Resiliency Center for Israelis in Australia and Australian citizens in Israel.
